Privacy policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

This policy explains what PostForge collects, why, and what you can do about it. PostForge is a tool that helps you create social media content and publish it to accounts you connect.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address, a hashed password, time zone and language.
  • What you create: prompts, posts, videos, images, brand kit details and files you upload.
  • Connected social accounts: the account name and ID, and the access tokens the platform gives us when you connect. Tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Platform data you ask us to use: for Instagram and Facebook, comments and direct messages on your accounts (for the inbox and DM automations), and post performance numbers.
  • Technical logs: publishing results, API requests and errors, kept to run and debug the service.

How we use it

  • To generate the content you ask for and publish it, at the times you choose, to the accounts you pick.
  • To show you your posts, analytics, comments and messages, and to run the automations you set up.
  • To keep the service secure and working.

We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or post anything you didn't create or schedule.

Data from Meta, TikTok, Google, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Bluesky

We only request the permissions needed for the features you use, and we use data from these platforms only to provide those features to you. You can disconnect an account at any time on the Accounts page, which deletes its tokens. You can also remove PostForge's access from the platform's own settings.

Service providers

To generate text, images and voice, your prompts and content may be sent to AI providers (OpenAI, fal and ElevenLabs) when they're enabled. Files are stored on our servers or with our storage provider. These providers process data only to deliver the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our database immediately and from backups within 30 days.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data. Most of this is available in the app; for anything else, contact us. If you're in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

How to delete everything: see Delete your data.
